Reg, K, and their egg

Reg with a "baby bump" due to the egg developing inside of him, and being happy and sentimental and happy with his husband and their egg. Reg and K weren't trying to have an egg, but were both really very happy that they were starting a family.
Unfortunately, the chick inside died. She was taking a little longer in the egg than she should have been, but the doctors told them not to worry because that happens sometimes. But Reg checked up on the egg one morning and couldn't hear a heartbeat through the shell and asked K if he heard anything. K couldn't hear much inside either, so, trying to keep calm,they went back to the doctors to see if they would be able to detect anything inside. They couldn't and told them that the chick had died inside the egg. (Which would be a bird's kind of stillborn, I guess.)
Rega and K both tried to be strong for each other, but they both took it somewhat hard in their own ways. K would talk a little... but have really depressing thoughts on it. Reg tried not to talk about it and promised that it was neither of their faults and that that just happens sometimes. They do their best to comfort each other, and they both know that they'll never leave the other over something like this, and they still love each other dearly.
